The Mary Ellen Hotel is one of Newcastle’s favourite hotels for craft beer, live entertainment and pub meals.
We were engaged by the Mary Ellen to update the visual identity of the venue to firmly represent their core values and redefined business goals. The Mary Ellen had found that their old visual identity no longer spoke to their audience and was becoming unrelatable. We developed a visual identity that reinforced their authenticity through raw materials and texture. We also reflected many aesthetics of the craft beer culture to attract their ideal target audience and build revenue and continuity with their bottle shop next door.
During the process, the visual identity work included stationery, menu’s, (interior and exterior) signage, print collateral (posters, flyers, business cards), social media and website design.
